Lie down on one side on the pillow.

Put a towel on or around the pillow and have a damp paper towel close by.
Prepare a piece of aluminum foil or paper plate and stick a small hole for ear candle.
Light up the longer end and place the shorter end gently into the outer ear passage.
Put the ear candle with aluminum paper into the ear passage. (at 90 degrees)
